Miami Caribbean 2020
17 January 2020: PE / ZURICH / MIAMI
Miami here we come!! Looking forward to see hubby again.
Its been a long 5 weeks but we have made it!! Had a good time at home with our family and friends and just LOVE my home. My happy place.
The smell of rain is in the air so leaving home with that promise, its on its way and is coming.
This time round we are on a brand a new ship sailing from the home port of Miami.
Flew with Swiss Air which was great and a first for me.Everything went smoothly, no hiccups after my last stressful flights and very nearly missing my connecting flight in JHB with minutes to spare because of delays of 3/4 hours from PE.
Left home with no Eskom drama , only no air cons on at the airport , only big fans doing the job and half the lights on in our departure area.
Made me think of the movie Out of Africa and the heat, Africa and hitte, hulle loop hand aan hand en dis ons voorland ,so get use to it.
Thank goodness i left with my black sloffies and not my closed tekkies want met hitte gloede en warm voete kan dinge warm raak!!! Oor hoe ek lyk is ek gelukkig al lankal verby,vlieg nou vir gemak
New that before i left JHB i had to get my legs into those sausage stockings and by the time i would get to the hotel my bottom legs would look like bread dough rising over the edge of the bread tin ooo my goodness the pleasures of getting older and flying!!!
18 January 2020: Miami Florida
Arrived in beautiful Miami overlooking all the waterways . Customs took a while but all ran smoothly and of all the luggage on the conveyer belts my 2 dear suitcases were one of the very few that were wrapped and stood out like a saw thumb. Gepanser vir enige aanslae van handjies wat dinge sommer vat vir hul self. Mission accomplished,safe and sound arriving at there destination.
I prefer a hotel with there own shuttle service, so after 30 min i was collected and what a nice surprise to arrive at the Comfort Inn & Suites. Friendly staff, nice coffee, cool room ,big white fluffy bed, area overlooking the pool area.
Then it was time for a nice cup of coffee and getting my legs out of the sausage tube,what a relief !!! o my genade , verlossing.
More is dit ek en die groot skip vir die volgende 9 weke, lady of leisure, besem opgehang en weggesit.
No house chores,dishes and one big plus !!longer painted nails for 9 weeks but like the cinderella story does not last forever haha ha so i will enjoy it while it lasts.
